Jim Jonez

Biography

Jim has over 25 years of working experience in the high technology industry, from start-ups to established companies, Jim's marketing expertise is teaching tech-companies how to tell their story to influence customers and generate sales. Emerging companies often have a great idea and need to execute a product rollout with alignment of the organization’s engineering, product marketing, PR/AR, and sales resources.

 

Jim brings his exceptional experience in high technology hardware and software storage companies to help organizations establish product brands and grow market share in competitive environments. 

 

Jim held Marketing VP positions at Dot Hill Systems Corp. and OnStream, Inc. At the time that Dot Hill was acquired by Seagate, Jim led the marketing team through the transition into Seagate. Jim also brings substantial product marketing experience at companies including Quantum Corporation, Cardinal Technologies, Megahertz Corporation, Iomega, and Hewlett-Packard. He has further experience in program management across a variety of product development and customer relationship projects. Jim has defined requirements for new products in nine different companies, managed dozens of product launches, and developed and executed numerous product programs through all life cycle phases. He has held managerial positions responsible for marketing communications, public relations, advertising, web and social media, channel marketing, shows & events, alliances, service & support staff, and international marketing.

 

Jim holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration (MBA) from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie-Mellon University and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.

 

Jim currently lives in Colorado and has lived and worked in other US locations including Washington, Arizona, Utah, and Pennsylvania.
